Fungal volatile organic compounds (FVOCs) have roles as an indirect mode of intra- and inter-kingdom communication, either mutualistic or antagonistic (Freitas et al. 2022). Based on this biological function, FVOCs can be utilized for various purposes, particularly in the food industry and agriculture (Veronico et al. 2023). Recently, FVOCs have prospects as a novel renewable energy sources (Strobel 2014)
