Effect of extracted nonvolatile compounds on juvenile mortality and egg hatching. After precipitation and separation of proteins and peptides from medium culture of strain AzBw1, remaining medium was used for extraction of nonvolatile organic compounds by ethyl acetate. Ethyl acetate was evaporated and remaining dry compounds were dissolved in chloroform/methanol (2:1 v/v) solution. To check nematicidal activity, 50 µl (containing 5 µg dry compounds) of this solution was placed in each wells of 24-well plat and left under sterile air stream until dry. Then juvenile or eggs suspensions were added and results were recorded on next days. Pure chloroform/methanol solution was used as negative control. EOC: extracted nonvolatile organic compounds; M/C: chloroform/methanol solution. Values followed by the same letter are not significantly different at 1%, as determined by analysis of variance followed by Fisher’s test. Bars indicate standard error. This experiment was conducted twice with the same results
